DOGS

From daily dog walks to a doggie holiday in our boarding or at home we would love to look after your pet in a manner that makes you comfortable and gives you both peace of mind.
You deserve a holiday without worrying that your pet is out of routine. We ensure that they feel looked after and give them the best time possible.

CATS & SMALL PETS

Your pet will thank you for booking them an extra person to cater for their requests at home , cuddles, food right on time, and all their needs looked after. Having a small pet can mean you sometimes feel like you don't have the freedom to leave home. We can come to your home and ensure their environment stays just as nice as when you are there looking after them.

EQUINE

As a horse owner to four horses myself ranging from a two-year-old to a 33-year-old, I know how difficult it can be to get someone that is experienced to mind them when we are away.

The equine service is tailored to your needs as a horse owner. I am a qualified veterinary nurse and can do what it takes to ensure they are looked after.. muck out, feed, turn out and bring in, check/change rugs, check horses that are in field to ensure they are safe.

Daily updates will be sent along with pictures if requested. Price depends on location & number of visits.

“DOGS ON HOLS”

At Knocknarea Pet Services we know how hard it is to leave your pets if you go on holidays. We all need a holiday every now & then so why not send your pooches on their holidays too?
Your dogs will love our home boarding service, enjoy walks during the day with their new friends at some of Sligo’s beautiful beaches & woods, a new adventure for them every day.
Pets can enjoy some playtime at home in our large enclosed garden. I am a huge advocate of a healthy balance of exercise, rest & mental stimulation. During their time here they will get to play with some of our interactive toys here such as stuffed Kong’s, puzzles or treat balls.
Before bed time we have a short stroll around the block for a pee & a sniff. They then cuddle up in their beds beside the radiator, with fairy lights on & a fire lit depending on the time of year dreaming of their next adventure with their new buddies.

You will get updates of your pooches during your holidays, how they are settling in, who they have made friends with & some pictures of their adventures.

We ask that all males over 7 months must be neutered & all dogs must be fully vaccinated including kennel cough, worm & flea treatments up to date.

WALKIES

Dog walking is one of the most popular services. I offer pick up and drop off services.
I collect your dog/s and bring them to a selection of Sligo's most beautiful beaches and woods. Choose from one day or five days per week.

Your dog will be assessed by me, and if they have excellent recall will be allowed off leash if you are happy to do so.
Dogs are grouped by both energy levels and size, staying in the same group, results in lots of new friendships made and lots of fun to be had. Walking is not only an added benefit for you when you come home from a long day's work to a tired dog, it has huge benefits to your dog too. Dogs that are not meeting their exercise needs can have problems such as aggression, destruction and health issues such as obesity and joint related issues.
Dogs will also learn in a qualified safe environment how to play and interact with other dogs, resulting in better socialised balanced dogs.

All walks are carried out by myself, with the utmost care, professionalism and respect, on beaches which I feel are safe and quiet, I never allow dogs run up to other walkers or dogs, if another person is walking near us all dogs are put back on their leads out of respect to others and safety for those dogs in my group & I always clean up after them. This is my values as a business owner and dog owner and something I pride myself in.

Dogs must complete a introductory walk before I will commit to walking them full time. Note: All dogs must be fully vaccinated inc kennel cough and male dogs neutered.
